How to set BIOS to boot from USB

Hi! friends as we know that booting the computer or installing new operating system due to virus is common problem of Computer owners.But it becomes quit difficult for all to boot from CD/DVD drive,So, at that moment we think about to how to boot from USB.Here I will tell you how to boot your PC through USB.

Keep in mind that your BIOS, by default, does not support a USB keyboard. 

Meaning: that if you boot your PC while having a USB keyboard, you will NOT be able to modify anything! As a matter of fact: you won't even be able to get in to the BIOS! So first sue your old PS/2 keyboard to go into the BIOS and set "USB Keyboard Support" to enabled!

Follow the following Steps to st up BIOS                                                                   

• To Enter the BIOS press the "Del" button on your keyboard. Alternatives are "F1", "F2", "Insert", and "F10". Some PC's BIOS might even require a different key to be pressed. Commonly a PC will show a message like "Press [Del] to enter Setup" to indicate that you need to press the "Del" key. Some AMI BIOS require you to enable the option "USB Keyboard Legacy support"!

For AMI BIOS:                                                                                                                 

• Go to "Feature Setup". "Enable" these options: "USB Function Support",
  "USB Function For DOS" and "ThumbDrive for DOS". Go to "Advanced Setup".
  Set the "1st Boot Device" to "USB RMD-FDD".
  Reboot the PC and it now should boot from the Usb Stick.


• Go to "USB Mass Storage Device Configuration". 


• Select "Emulation Type" and set it to "Harddisk". 


• Go to the "Boot Menu" and set the "1st boot device" to "USB-Stick". 


• Exit the BIOS, saving the changes.
  you can try "Emulation Type" to "Floppy" or "Forced FDD".

For PHOENIX/AWARD BIOS:                                                                                         

• Go to "Advanced BIOS Features". 


• Go to the "1st Boot device" and set it to "USB-ZIP".

7) Select the option to activate by phone, and press Next

Make windows 7 or vista bootable Disc by using Nero

Hi! friends, one day one of my friend asked me the steps on how to make a bootable disc,So I thought to tell it to you all.Friends! as we know that some of us did not know how to make a bootable disk of windows 7,we just copy the setup file and burn it to the disc but this is not working.Don't worry guys here I am telling cool steps by which you can make your own windows 7 bootable disc.

 

Just follow this steps :-                                                                                    

1. First of all, install Nero and prepare your Installation source files by copying them to particular folder or directory. Lets say- all files are copied to C:DVD folder.


2. Start Nero Burning ROM (Go to Start >> All Programs >> Nero >> Nero 9 and click on Nero Burning ROM). On New Compilation dialog box, Select DVD as compilation and then DVD-ROM (Boot).

On Boot tab and locate boot image file using Browse button. (Windows Vista and Windows 7 installation source contain boot image file called etfsboot.com in Boot directory) See the above image.
Windows Vista x64 Installation files doesn’t contain etfsboot.com, so you can use the same file from x86 version.
Now under Advanced, check Enable expert settings (for advanced users only), set emulation type as No Emulation &  number of loaded sectors as 8 and leave rest of settings intact. (1 sector = 512Bytes, etfsboot.com requires 4.0KB to boot DVD)


3. On ISO tab, select File name length as Max. of 31 chars (Level 2). Now move Label tab and set the label of disc, say “Windows 7 DVD”.

4. On Burn tab, don’t forget to check Finalize the disc (No further writing possible!). Now almost everything is done, so click on New to add Windows 7 Installation Source files.

5. Just select all files and folders from DVD and drag them under to Windows 7 DVD. That’s it, now click onBurn button on toolbar or choose Recorder menu >> Burn Compilation. Insert the blank DVD into drive and set appropriate burning speed. It is recommended to burn disc lower speed (2x or 2.4x) for better results.

Applies To:

• Windows Vista (x86 & x64)
• Windows 7 (x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2008 R2

Hi! Guys as we sometimes wanted to hide some files or documents from parents or anyone.But it is becomes quiet difficult for us to hide the documents by using hiding softwares. But don't worry Guys here I am presenting you the trick by which you can hide your documents in JPEG files,without using any softwares for that.So, here we start, just follow the following Steps.



You Must have a .zip or .rar compressor.

Steps:                                                                                                                                                               

1. Save the picture of choice to your desktop.

2. Make a new .rar or .zip folder on your desktop.

3. Add the files you want to hide into the .zip or .rar

4. Click start menu, run, cmd.

5. In Command Prompt type cd “desktop” with the quotation marks.

6. Now type in copy /b picturename.jpg + foldername.rar outputfilename.jpg
( If you use .zip then: copy /b picturename.jpg + foldername.zip outputfilename.jpg)

7. Now there should be the outputed file name with a .jpg extension on the desktop.
( Do not close Command Prompt just yet )

8. Double click it to open the picture and check it out.

9. When your done looking, and want to view the hidden files

Type: ren outputfilename.jpg outputfilename.rar or zip

5. In Command Prompt type cd “desktop” with the quotation marks.

6. Now type in copy /b picturename.jpg + foldername.rar outputfilename.jpg
( If you use .zip then: copy /b picturename.jpg + foldername.zip outputfilename.jpg)

7. Now there should be the outputed file name with a .jpg extension on the desktop.
( Do not close Command Prompt just yet )

8. Double click it to open the picture and check it out.

9. When your done looking, and want to view the hidden files

Type: ren outputfilename.jpg outputfilename.rar or zip
